FEVE TECHNOLOGY - FLUOROPOLYMER COATINGS
Sustainable, ultra-weatherable architectural and industrial coatings with excellent corrosion-resistance, long-term gloss and colour retention.
Key Advantages
- 60 Years UV Protection
- Anti-Corrosion
- Lower Lifecycle Costs by up to 60%
- Reduces Environmental Impact
Traditional topcoats being more aesthetic than protective in function are more prone to colour loss and degradation from UV exposure. FEVE topcoats on the other hand act as a dual aesthetic and protective layer – bringing down maintenance and repainting requirements and in turn the overall costs and ecological footprint of your project, The following video shows you the saving on lifecycle costs.
The Chemistry behind the FEVE coatings is based around the special molecular structure of fluoropolymers giving FEVE coatings high integral strength and the ability to withstand the energy of UV rays and corrosion initiators. This video explains it further.
comparative Topcoats testing
Worldwide site-based and laboratory-based comparative tests of FEVE and Polyurethane topcoats reveal FEVE paints show longer term UV resistance and a much higher colour retention of up to 58% compared to traditional topcoats. See the linked video for further explanation.

Colorkote used Giromax Girocote to transform a trading unit for a client in Reading. The unit was badly faded and the existing plastisol substrate was failing and breaking down. The client wanted to extend the life of the metal panels without the need for costly replacement.
Colorkote removed the existing coating with high pressure jetting and hand abrasion. The metal was treated with a bare metal primer and two coats of Giromax Girocote. This ensured a smooth satin finish and extended the life of the cladding sheets by another 15 years.
