Colorkote were tasked with rejuvenating the existing coating to the roof as well as improving the waterproofing and the longevity of the roof sheets.
The existing coating to the roof sheets had badly perished in the sun and rain and some of the edges were developing cut edge corrosion. We came up with a system which offered the client a 10 year warranty, a new looking roof and all completed well within their forecast budget.
The roof coating was cleaned off by using a high pressure jetter and mechanical abrasion. We then applied the Giromax Seamsil system along all overlaps, joints and around the roof lights to ensure that the surface was watertight. This system alone comes with a 15 year guarantee from the manufacturer. We then applied the tried and tested Steelseal paint system to the full surface making the roof look brand new
